Wind Mountain Ranch

Located on a bluff just outsides of both Carson and Stevenson, Washington, Wind Mountain Ranch Cabins are ideally situated near the top hiking trails along Dog Mountain and some of the region's most famous wineries such as Maryhill and Cathedral. 

Wind Mountain Ranch Cabins are ideally situated near the top hiking trails along Dog Mountain. Wind Mountain Ranch also offers 1.5 miles of private hiking trails. You will get a trail map in your cabin.

Our cabins are only five minutes from the Wind River boat launch and about 15 minutes from the Drano (also known as the Little White Salmon River) boat launch, ideal for those wanting to fish for Chinook Salmon on the Columbia.

Rent a kayak or paddleboard in Hood River and spend the day on the water. 

Mulnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is Located 20 minutes West of Stevenson Washington on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The falls drops 542 feet and flows under the 45 foot long Benson Bridge.

Sternwheeler

Located in Cascade Locks, the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler offers riverboat cruises aboard an authentic triple-deck paddle wheeler. The Sternwheeler is the perfect way to see the beauty of the Columbia River. Meal cruises and sightseeing excursions are available.

Crown Point (Vista House)

Located 30 minutes West, the Vista House was built in 1916 as a memorial to Oregon Pioneers and as a comfort station for those traveling on the Historic Columbia River Highway. Sitting 733 feet above the river, Vista house offers beautiful views of the National Scenic area.

Hiking

With 352 miles of hiking trails nearby, the Columbia River Gorge offers day hikes for all skill levels. The Ranch property is just 5 minutes away from the Wind Mountain Trail Head and 10 minutes from the Dog Mountain Trail Head. There are even several trails right on the property, all connecting to the scenic Crest Trail. Pack a lunch and a camera and discover the beauty this National Scenic Area has to offer.
